Light Ethnic Cianne Strydom

On December 6th, 2011, posted in: Doll News by

Romie has come out with another absolutely gorgeous sculpt called Cianne. I LOVE her coloring and due to her features I decided to paint her using browns instead of my normal pinks and yellows.  In using those colors she has come out with the lightest of ethnic colored skin and I chose to give her fine baby hair. It was really fun to work with her as she has such a gorgeous face and each hair I rooted I could just see her beauty come to life. I did however choose to give her different limbs as I didn’t care for the ones Romie sent with her, these have so much more realism to them.

And I can also thank my wonderfully talented sister for making the gorgeous ivory colored winter Cocoon. She looks so snuggly warm.

Thank you for looking….Happy Tuesday ;-)

Big Baby Girl Chloe

I thought I would have these ready to show last week however I don’t know from day to day who will be ringing the door bell for more fixes to the house. I am very happy to say that it is finally coming along and we are finally feeling like it’s a home.

With that being said this wonderful girl is named Chloe and she is a new sculpt by Ann Timmerman. I love Ann’s sculpts as her features are soft and the vinyl is simply wonderful to work with. I love how big this baby is as it’s so rare to find them this big and she’s fun to dress as she takes the larger clothes (3-6 months). I chose to give her less hair then I normally do as I tried a new kind and it’s just very wispy but so baby fine.  Thanks for taking the time to take a peek ;-)

Baby Boy Khian

I am so glad to finally be able to share him. When I seen the prototype I just knew I had to reborn him as his details are so wonderful. He is the Khian sculpt created by Tina Kewy, she always does such detail work on their hands and feet, lots of wrinkles and creases. He is a true newborn size, a wonderful little bundle that will cuddle in your arms. He has 3/4  vinyl legs so he can be posed a little easier.  I chose to root his hair with a lighter color as I loved it with his facial features. As you can see he is sleeping so peacefully.

I have another new sculpt by Ann Timmerman that I am trying to finish up as well and will hopefully have some sneak peek photos over the weekend, I’ll try my best. Thanks to all of you who have sent your kind words in the trying time of moving…:-)

I am here!!!

I thought it best I get an update here as I know there are those that have been wondering about my move. It has been the most difficult obstacle in my life I have had to overcome. I think the loss of my dad was easier than this has been. I can not even begin to describe the frustrations that Dan and I are having to overcome with this builder by the name of Minto. NOT an easy company to deal with. Needless to say there is so much to the story that I certainly don’t wish to bore everyone with it as I know we all have life obstacles. SO, with that being said I have two babies that are finally completed and are ready for adoption. They are Khian sculpted by Tina Kewy and another Noah sculpted by Reva Schick. Being in the new home I have to determine where the best location is for natural light photos. Keep a look out within the next couple of days for at the very least photos. Thank you all for being patient and I very much look forward to some normalcy to life and being able to focus my time on my great love of creating these baby dolls. xoxoxo

Custom Noah on her way to Argentina

On October 6th, 2011, posted in: Doll News by

Ah yes, lovely lovely Noah as a girl with very blond hair. She is a custom order and I could not be more pleased with her final look. Noah was sculpted by the wonderful and talented Reva Schick and I have always LOVED her kits. She has also sculpted several dolls for Lee Middleton. This Noah as requested has the same very blond hair as the previous doll called Dani. I have never worked with more gorgeous hair as this. It is so incredibly soft and fun to root and watch these babies come to life.  I always enjoy trying something new and especially when the outcome is more then I could have imagined is even more fun.

I am working on other new sculpts in the middle of my move and I will take some photos so you know what you to expect once I am relocated in our new home.  Thanks for looking.

New Sculpt and another blond…REALLY blond

Here she is, the new sculpt called Dani by Jannie deLange. I had never worked with one of her sculpts before but I LOVE this one. The detail is amazing and I love the size, a true newborn not on the small size. I had a request to make a custom order with blond hair and one never knows what color it will truly be until you root it. I needed to test it and was pleasantly surprised at the outcome of this. I thought it was going to be a bit darker but it’s PERFECT.  As you can see she is sleeping very peacefully and can also be posed in many different ways.

As I wrote in my previous post I will be moving so this is the last of available babies until the end of October. I have several new kits that I will be working on but since I will not have my computer photo ready I can not post photos. I will however post from time to time to let  you know  which sculpt I will be working on. I am so excited as I have several wonderful new ones. Make it a great day ;-)

Moving Soon…

Quick update to what has been going on  in life. My husband and I are having a home built, however we can not move to it until October 19th. Our home here has sold and we will be having to live in temporary housing for a few weeks UGH. At that time I will not have any babies available, however I will be working on them so after the move I will be ready to put them together and get them into homes. I have one last baby that will become available today so watch for her.

Thanks to all of you who sent me wonderful and kind words in regards to Tink, I miss her terribly.

I thought while I await my new kit to arrive I would work on one that has been out for sometime now. She is Krista and she has wonderful BIG eyes. She’s a treat to work on as her vinyl is so nice and soft. Her features are very fun as she also can suck on her thumb. Not very often I do them with such open mouths but I really like her look.  The same sculpt I did before was with very light brown hair and I chose to give her dark hair as it’s always fun creating something different. Enjoy her photos.

My Tink the cat has crossed the Rainbow Bridge

On September 13th, 2011, posted in: Doll News by

Tink is my cat who I had for almost 19 years. She was approximately 21-22 years old and she brought such great joy to my life. I can not even begin to express the loss I feel with her not being here with me physically, but I know that she will always be with me in spirit. Ironically I came across this poem a few weeks back as I knew it wouldn’t be long before she crossed it so I thought I would share.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together….

Author unknown…

Tink I miss you so deeply it hurts, but I know those times will pass. Thank you for being an awesome teacher and allowing us to let others that needed  love,  food and a warm bed into our home. I know you are with Grandpa now…..I love you and will see again one day. Have an awesome time on the other side. 9-11-11

Sold out Porsha Strydom

On September 2nd, 2011, posted in: Doll News, Girl Dolls by

This is a sculpt that has been long sold out and I was lucky enough to find another one. She was such a treat to do so long ago that I really wanted to do another. With this one I chose to use some gorgeous, curly strawberry blond hair and to accent her hair once again I chose the gray, German Glass eyes. Thus far I have not found a hair color that those eyes don’t match as they are so gorgeous in color.  She has full vinyl legs so there again she is such a joy to dress and yes, I have dressed her in my favorite line of clothing. I LOVE babies in hats and Naartjie has such fun ones. Thank for looking and have a safe Labor Day weekend.
