This gorgeous little baby girl will simply melt your heart as she has such a innocence and softness to her features. Her expression was created by well known sculptor Olga Auer. Olga knows how to capture the sweetness in a babies face and she is especially talented and gifted with the details in the hands and feet. This sculpt is a limited edition and I would imagine she will go rather quick. I have given her gorgeous German glass eyes in a hazel color and she gives the appearance of looking right at your. She has 3/4 arms and legs so she can be posed in fun ways. Her vinyl is wonderfully soft and was so easy to work with. I gave her the gorgeous dark brown hair that is so incredibly soft. I have yet to learn to root open eyed lashes (I attempted with her but not so easy). One day I will figure it out but in the mean time I will continue to use wispy baby lashes. Thank you for reading about her.

Ah, what a wonderful baby boy he is….captured by Tina Kewy whom sculpted him did such a terrific job as usual with her detailing. Little baby Jack has a true boy look to his face and even the shape of his head is to be desired. I also had great fun with him as he has full vinyl arms AND legs which in vinyl kits is rare. I love the way his hands and feet are as his little toes are so spread apart as if stretching and his hands have wonderfully long fingers. I have tried the new lighter hair with him and it could not have come out any more perfect, it is so incredibly baby soft. Thank you for taking the time to read about Jack and enjoy his photos.

After I had completed this kit that is named after a girl I really liked how he looked more like a boy as boy kits are SO hard to come by. I have to say however that this kit is by Linda Murray “the cradle” and I have never been so disappointed in an all around kit. The head is SO much bigger then the limbs. The limbs looked more like a preemie size and the head is a large newborn size. Needless to say I LOVED the face so still wanted to play around and give it life so I went through my box of “extra” baby parts and came up with a set of arms from Romie Strydom and a set of legs from Jessica Schenk. Thankfully they all matched perfect in color so I was able to paint them all to match the head….whew.

He really does make a better boy then girl and so I chose to really give him a boy hair cut and used that gorgeous dark brown but cut it much shorter around the forehead and sides then I normally do. It’s such gorgeous hair that once it’s messed up by changing tops it can be simply combed, not water necessary to put comb back in place.  He also has gorgeous German glass eyes and he gives the appearance of looking right at you. I love this face and I am so glad I made it, however I will no longer be ordering any more Linda Murray kits as they are too expensive to take a chance on and not be able to use ALL the parts. Thank you for peeking ;-)

Once again I have created a wonderful baby with the sculpt by Linde Scherer named Angelo. Normally it would make a wonderful boy however upon completing it I loved it as a girl. This new hair that I use it so incredibly soft and so baby like. It is very dark brown in color and it is SO easy to work with. I have been reborning for many, many years and I think hair is the most important part of the reborning process and so I have tried several types and several suppliers but this hair is simply the best. She is a true newborn size baby at only 20 inches long and is so so cuddly in your arms.

Gorgeous Asian baby girl

Simply stunning is all I can say about this wonderful Asian baby girl.  Her name is Liu-San by Adrie Stoete and she did a superb job on capturing the true Asian appearance, from the wonderful slant eyes to the lips.  It has been a very long time since I worked on one of Adrie’s sculpts but when I seen Liu-San I just KNEW I had to work on her.  Also since I have found a new hair supplier with straight hair and so loved it for her.  She also has brown colored eyes, not too deep so you can still see her pupils. She is a petite baby at only 19 inches in length but such a great face to look at. Thanks for taking the time to read about her ;-)

What a WONDERFUL big baby she is….she is the biggest baby I have created thus far and she was SO much fun. Her name is Camille and she was sculpted by Ann Timmerman who is by far one of my all time favorite sculptors. Ann knows just how to capture the most realistic of faces and features combined. It is very difficult to find a sculptor who can do both and she does them very well. I found a new supplier of hair and I am so excited as I finally found someone who I can obtain straight hair instead of always have a curl, which I love, but straight is fun too. I chose to give her more baby fine, wispy hair and it’s super easy to take care of. She is also so large that she is wearing size 6 month clothing…..FUN FUN FUN!! Thanks for peeking ;-)

I want to first of all wish everyone a very happy new year and wish everyone good things to come their way in the new year. My newest addition is from a new sculptor by the name of Ping Lau. It would appear her sculpts could possibly be more of the asian group. This wonderful little sculpt is called Soledad and she was a treat to work on with her very soft features. She is much smaller then I am used to creating, she is only around 19″ in length and her weight is just over 4 pounds, so very petite. I love her sweet little face and chose to make her eyes appear as looking more to one side then straight on and she has wonderful little wrinkles in her forehead. She wears a true newborn size clothing so you know she’s pretty teeny tiny. I look very much forward to the new sculpts that will be coming out this year and new artists creating them.  There are so many wonderful ones that it becomes difficult on who to work on next….but I love each and everyone.

WOW is all I can say about the detailing with this new sculpt called Jamie by Olga Auer. I have never worked on one of her sculpts before and I love how she totally put every wrinkle that a baby would have. He is a true newborn size, around 19″ long and is wonderfully cuddly. I love when rooting the hair as I never know what the face looks best with until I get to the top around the face and I love his combed back.  It was so much fun watching him come to life with his little tongue that sticks out as I would never had thought I would work on a face like his but LOVE LOVE LOVE it. It was fun stepping “out of my box” and trying something new.

With warm Merry Christmas wishes and a very happy new year!!! xxxx

Big baby girl Maya

This is Maya by Reva Schick and she has been around for a few years so I thought it was time to create a wonderful little girl with it. She is on the larger size then I normally do so she was very fun. She’s such a great size that she can sit up on her own as well, so fun for displaying in a chair or simply sitting on the floor…by the Christmas tree ;-) I have used a different color eyes then I had been, hers are such a deep blue color that from a distance they appear brown in color. She has full vinyl legs so she is super fun to dress. Thank you for reading about her and viewing her photos….Happy Sunday

Light Ethnic Cianne Strydom

On December 6th, 2011, posted in: Doll News by

Romie has come out with another absolutely gorgeous sculpt called Cianne. I LOVE her coloring and due to her features I decided to paint her using browns instead of my normal pinks and yellows.  In using those colors she has come out with the lightest of ethnic colored skin and I chose to give her fine baby hair. It was really fun to work with her as she has such a gorgeous face and each hair I rooted I could just see her beauty come to life. I did however choose to give her different limbs as I didn’t care for the ones Romie sent with her, these have so much more realism to them.

And I can also thank my wonderfully talented sister for making the gorgeous ivory colored winter Cocoon. She looks so snuggly warm.

Thank you for looking….Happy Tuesday ;-)
